Blog Wednesday: A Bedroom Design That is Out of This World!
I am so excited to share my recent bedroom eDesign project! This was not the first time I worked with this particular client, but this project was a first for me! I was asked to design a bedroom for her twin boys who requested a bunk bed for their birthday! In addition to the bunk beds, they also requested a NASA themed room! — I was determined to design these boys a room that was out of this world!
For this design I created little grouping of furniture. You can see three areas in this design: The bed area, the desk area that the twin boys can use for their school needs and the play area that is anchored by the area rug. All three areas are well defined!
Decorating a room for one child and furnishing it is much easier than doing two, especially when the children are twins. Despite sharing the same birthday, each child will grow up with their own sense of identity. As a designer, I wanted to create a space that inspired the two boys to play, create, and grow!
